Namaste and Happy Navaratri..
September started with our fifth Ganesh Mahotsav, spanning over ten days. This very popular celebration began with the sthapana of the Ganeshji murty on the 5th and ended with the visarjan on the 15th. The record crowd every day, and particularly on the day of Visarjan, brought extra joy to this festive Utsav. In addition, we organized Mata Ki Chowki on September 16th, Dasbodh discourse on September 16-18 and 23-25, and a three-day Gopi-Geet program during September 23-25.
Diwali is almost upon us. We began the festivities with the ten-day Navaratri and Vijayadashmi celebrations from October 1 to 11. On 11th, there will be Ravan Dahan. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Pranpratisthapana of Durgamata, we have organized a three-day Durga Mahotsav from October 7 to 9. We also plan to have a major Durgashtami Havan with over 250 kundis, again for the first time in the Temple’s history, on Sunday, October 9. We would like to invite you all to participate in this special Durgashtami havan. We have kept the sponsorship to perform the havan on Sunday as low as $51 so that more devotees can join us in this special celebration.
While at the Temple, please do not forget to visit an extraordinary Vishno Devi exhibit in the Youth Center. Just walk thru the cave and do the Darshan of Vishno Devi. It will be open at least until October 16.
With the blessings of Mahalakshmidevi, let us all be the source of progress and the power of positive energy all around.
With warm regards,
On behalf of the Ekta Mandir Management Team,
